Movement is proud to be independently owned by only Doctors of Physical Therapy. Unlike the majority of the other clinics in the region, Movement is not illegally and unethically owned by "non-PT's" such as physicians, trainers, or hospitals. Instead, we have YOUR well-being driving the care--NOT financial kickbacks.
Scott is a Colorado native and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in 2004. His credentials put him in the top 1% of licensed Physical Therapists in the country. For the last 22 years, he has specialized in outpatient care of recreational, college, and professional athletes in the mountains of Colorado.
Scott first introduced the Vail Valley to the specialized technique of Functional/Trigger Point Dry Needling over ten years ago and trained others in the technique both locally and internationally. Previous to teaching Functional Dry Needling with Kinetacore, Scott was an affiliate faculty member at Regis University where he instructed graduate level students. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS). He was the first and is the only Physical Therapist in the Vail Valley certified and with advanced-level training in the Functional Movement Screen and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment--systems currently used in the National Football League and almost all professional sports. He was also the first therapist in the Valley to become a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (CGFI) and the only in Western Colorado that is a TPI Certified Medical Professional (Level 3). He is Rocabado and advanced-trained in the management of Craniofacial pain and disorders a.k.a. Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ, TMD). Scott recently became the first MovNat Certifited Trainer (MCT) in the region as well.
Professional affiliations include membership in the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. For over a decade, Dr. Wacker has worked in private practice in Edwards and Vail. He has established himself as the leader in outpatient rehabilitative care in the community and will help you “Move to Achieve.”
Megan Riddle Wacker is the clinic's own Eagle County native. She spent her childhood years growing up in the Vail Valley, and then left for California where she attended Pepperdine University, graduating in 2000 with her Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine. Megan became passionate about physical therapy because she wanted to be able to spend quality time with patients and help them achieve their rehabilitation goals. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2004, graduating at the top of her class. Megan completed her fellowship in pediatric physical therapy in 2005 and worked in Denver for four years specializing in pediatrics. She returned to Vail in 2008 with her husband Scott and has worked in the valley with patients of all ages and diagnoses ranging from pediatric to orthopedic to neurological. In 2012 Megan became the only professional in Eagle County certified in the MELT Method. Following an injury to her own back, Megan found Pilates to be extremely helpful in her recovery. After extensive training, she has received her Comprehensive Teacher Training Certificate from Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI Pilates). Outside of work, Megan enjoys chasing her children and any outdoor activity, especially skiing, hiking and biking - all of which she does better than her husband Scott.
